The Monstera deliciosa, a.k.a. the "Swiss cheese plant," gets its nickname from the fenestrations—or splits—in the mature leaves that cause them to appear Swiss cheese-like. You might be wondering why our small potted version doesn't have holes? The heart-shaped foliage on the immature plant begin to split as the plant grows. At this small size, only a few (and sometimes none) of the leaves have begin the splitting process. Will your recipient know that? Perhaps! But our care instructions, included with every potted plant gift, also explain that with a little care and patience, this plant can transform into a thriving (and sometimes massive) house plant that, for its size and popularity, is relatively beginner-friendly.

Your potted plant will be carefully packaged in a charming box, complete with care instructions and a hand-written note, penned by us with your personal message.

The pot measures 4.5 inches in height and width. Foliage can extend 14-16 inches above planter height.

We advise repotting this plant within 6 months to a year of receipt.
